Need Help
We are planning a civil ceremony.Civil ceremonies are becoming more and more popular. Also the variety of licensed venues is increasing. When deciding which musicians you would like, be aware of any space restrictions - some registry offices do not have much space. Then, you will need to choose some music for the bride as she walks in, something while the papers are signed and finally, something as the happy couple walk out. Just a reminder - almost any type or style of music is acceptable for your civil ceremony except - by law, no religious music can be played. Which music should we pick for our Church Wedding? The form of a Church wedding is similar to the civil ceremony, above. You will need a processional (for the bride to walk in) and a recessional (as the couple leave). Also a piece as the register is signed and often 1 or 2 hymns. We can guide you if you are a bit lost - so call Bluestar. Increasingly Churches allow almost any piece of music to be played or sung but if you are planning anything particularly unorthodox please check with the vicar/priest first! We don't know the name of the music we would like.Give the Bluestar office a call! We've got a lot of experience in wedding music and someone can probably "name that tune". We've put some of the more popular choices on our website so click and listen - you should see the title displayed. If necessary we can email the titles direct to your wedding printer and lessen the chances of an embarrassing misprint! How long will the musicians play?As long as you want! Once you have engaged the services of a Bluestar musician we want you to relax and enjoy the show. Make sure, at the time of booking, that you are clear what you require from the players and that you tell us. We can brief the musicians so that you don't have to worry. As a general rule the musicians will be around for about 3 hours from set-up to pack-up - that's at least a quarter of even the most decadent of weddings! - but tell us if this does not suit your plans. Our wedding venue is quite remote.Although our offices are in London we have arranged weddings all over the country and even as far away as Australia! So don't worry - Bluestar performers are used to travelling. Sometimes it is necessary to add on a travel supplement but we try to keep this to a minimum and will always let you know in the final quote. |
